Status Saver is a simple status downloader. Once you have viewed a status, it shows up in the app, and one tap puts it in your gallery — at full quality, with no watermark and no screen recording. It reads the folder where viewed statuses are kept, one at a time or all at once, and keeps them in a Status Saver album for as long as you want. There is no account and no sign-up, and saving works offline. It supports the regular messaging app and its Business edition.

How do I save a status?

View the status in your messaging app first. Then open Status Saver — it will be waiting in the Photos or Videos tab — and tap save. It goes to a Status Saver album in your gallery.

Will the person know I saved their status?

No. Saving happens entirely on your phone and sends nothing back, so there is no notification. Please respect other people’s privacy and only share a status with its owner’s permission.

Is it free?

Yes, the app is free and supported by ads. A single one-time purchase in Settings removes the ads for good, and you can restore that purchase on another device using the same Google account.

What does the app get access to?

Only the one folder where the statuses you have viewed are stored. On Android 10 and newer you choose that folder yourself through Android’s own folder picker, so the app cannot reach your other files. It does not read your chats or your contacts, and the photos and videos you save are never uploaded.
